1. What Calendar Clarity is

Calendar Clarity adds features to Google Calendar in your browser:

• Event Visibility — dims low-signal events so the ones that matter stand out.
• Focus Timer — a focus timer with a distraction-hiding Zen mode, bundled ambient sounds, and an option to open Spotify in a new tab.
• Event Actions (opt-in) — duplicate, split, spread, postpone, reschedule, and extend events.
• Custom Colors — named color categories, templates, and optional AI category generation and auto-categorization.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We do not guarantee compatibility with every Google Calendar feature, layout, or future change.

2. Your calendar and Google account

• By default, the extension runs locally and your settings stay in your browser (and, if you use Chrome Sync, are synced by Google under your own account).
• If you enable Event Actions or native color labels, the extension acts on your real Google Calendar through the Google Calendar API — it can create, modify, and move events, and write color labels to them. These features are off until you turn them on and grant access through Google's own sign-in screen.
• You are responsible for reviewing changes before and after you apply them. While we design these actions to be safe and to show a preview, you use them on your own calendar at your own risk, and we are not liable for events that are moved, altered, duplicated, or lost.
• You can revoke the extension's Google access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

3. AI features

• The AI features (AI Generate, Reorganize, and Auto-categorize) are opt-in. When you use them, the extension sends your event titles and related category information to our AI service, which uses a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to produce suggestions. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is sent.
• AI output is a suggestion, not a guarantee. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not to your taste. Review AI suggestions before applying them.
• You must not abuse the AI service — for example, by attempting to overload it, circumvent its rate limits, or use it other than through the extension's normal interface.

4. Privacy

Your use of Calendar Clarity is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what the opt-in features send, to whom, and why. Where these Terms and the Privacy Policy describe data handling, the Privacy Policy controls.

5. Third-party services

Depending on the features you use, Calendar Clarity relies on third-party services, each governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for those services:

• Google (Google Calendar, Chrome, Chrome Sync).
• OpenAI, the AI provider behind our AI service.
• Spotify, if you choose to open it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the extension for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any third party's terms (including Google's or Spotify's).
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the extension.
• Abuse, overload, probe, or attempt to circumvent the rate limits or security of our AI service or any infrastructure.

7. Intellectual property

The extension, its code, and its branding are owned by Human Quest and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension for its intended purpose. Your calendar data and settings remain yours. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Calendar Clarity is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of AI output, or that changes made to your calendar will be correct or complete. We do not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with future Google Calendar updates or other extensions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Human Quest will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, calendar events, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the extension — including any changes made to your calendar or any reliance on AI output. Calendar Clarity is free; to the extent any liability is found notwithstanding the above, our total liability will not exceed USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

10. Not affiliated with Google

Calendar Clarity is an independent extension. It is not created by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Google, Google Calendar, and Chrome are trademarks of Google LLC. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB. These names are used only to describe compatibility.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the extension after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Human Quest operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence apply.
